Villa Escudero

Located at Tiaong Quezon, Villa Escudero is famous for its lunch by the waterfalls. It’s a buffet wherein you are eating beside their man-made waterfall. Many are trying this because of the unique experience. Imagine having your lunch while your feet are soaked on fresh water and you’re hearing the sound of water splashing? Isn’t that just refreshing?

Carabao ride

Before going to the waterfall where you will eat your lunch, you are going to ride a carabao. Not literally a carabao but a carabao is pulling your carriage where you are riding. Another different experience indeed! We are used to horses giving us rides but in Villa Escudero its carabaos. While in the ride on the way to the restaurant, on the back of the ride are staff of the Villa and they are serenading you with folk songs that are melody in your ears because of the sound of the classic guitar and beautiful voices.

Pink houses

You can also see on your way the bright colors of pink on the houses there! If you love the color pink then you will definitely love it there! There are also mini statues showing the culture of the Filipinos, there are statues of men and women and children wearing the filipiniana and barong tagalog.

Church Museum

There is also a pink church museum there where you can see different statues used in prosisyons and there is even a big last supper there! You’ll be in awe when you see the statues because they are wonderful.

It’s a two-story church museum because on the first floor are some of the biblical statues and preserved insects and there are also some showcases of animals and when you go upstairs there is a collection of dolls and other treasures. There are old forms of money, presidential uniforms, collections of jars, horns, guns and many more interesting things.

Waterfall restaurant

When you arrive at the waterfall restaurant, you can choose where you’ll be seated and pick any food from the buffet that you like. Since Villa Escudero showcases the tradition of the Filipinos, of course it’s all filipino food. There’s grilled liempo, fried fish, chicken, ginataang gulay, banana cue, watermelon and palabok. There is also another viand that I sort of forgot but anyways, you can also buy fresh buko juice, you will drink from the buko itself they just put a straw on it and it is the best!

There is also a cultural show that you will definitely enjoy! The cultural show showcases the different dances of the tribes here in the Philippines.

Overnight stay

You can also stay overnight here! They have pools and bamboo raft boating! It is a perfect place to spend time with your family or friends.

If you avail the overnight stay, there are villas for you that are refreshing to stay in and are relaxing. Along with this stay is a dinner buffet and a breakfast buffet because of course you already had the lunch buffet when you come here in the morning.

They have different themes of dinner I think every month because the last time we went here it was an italian style dinner. There were pastas and other sorts of food and when we came back again last March 2021 it was Asian cuisine which is again super good, especially the tart as dessert! It was so good that I could still remember the taste of it.

The overnight stay is relaxing because the day tour is until 5pm so after that only your group and the other people who are also staying overnight will be there meaning you can swim freely in the pool!

Breakfast

There are many choices for breakfast! Everything you can imagine is there except of course it isn’t an american type of breakfast it is a filipino breakfast. There are champorado, lugaw, tocino, giniling, fried rice, and there’s even an omelet section where you can choose and tell them what to put in your eggs. Definitely worth it when you stay here!

Since we love it so much we will probably come back here again soon and will recommend this place to many.
